Irritating Things: RBY



This is for the stuff in RBY that are just so annoying we yell at the gameboy every time we play them. Feel free to submit your own too :)



Items




Your inventory can only hold 20 items and you ALWAYS have to either use stuff or lob stuff out to pick up new things. The worst bit is you don't even know what you're trying to pick up, they only tell you from GSC onwards... and you can't just possibly leave it there, its a HUGEASS POKEBALL the same size as you it MUST BE COOL. Anyway yeah the inventory is so small.



Spinny Tiles




They are so bloody slow! Its like "Wheeee! ...am I there yet? WILL YOU PLEASE JUST LIKE STOP ALREADY"



HMs




Having to open the start menu to use HMs. I still press A frantically when I play RBY, I'm so used to stuff like "this tree can be cut! Want to use cut? *SLASH* RaptorJsus used Cut!"



Rock Tunnel




Ok, rock tunnel is full of trainers and they have very likely got your guys down to like 5hp. And then you walk outside and you're all "YAY FREEDOM where the hell's the pokecentre" and then THERE'S ALWAYS ONE git who comes and battles you and KILLS YOU. So you have to go through rock smegging tunnel again. Ok this hasn't actually happened to me since I was 10, but itmust've happened at least once.



Full Box




"OH hey a pokemon I don't have!!!! I must catch it" and usually its rare (not as in the screencap, I just did that for the sake of the screencap lol), like you're in the safari zone and HOLY CRAP A KANGASKAHN GO BALL GO! oh no wait your box is full. And its not all magical like RSE onwards and puts it in the next box automatically, and this is like the 70s where nobody has mobile phones so Bill can't phone you and be all "hey man your box is full cheers buhbye now". So you have to go to the nearest pokecentre and change the box and go all the way back and go searching for the rare pokemon you found. How gutting would it be if it was a legendary?
And yes, I do cheat.



Voltorbs




Is this the Thunder TM? OH NO WAIT its a Voltorb oh my god! After you catch one and find a bazillion more this is so annoying. Also, they are ALWAYS level 40 and they kill you dead. It takes like 3 tries to escape. Oh and they use selfdestruct which is more like genocide than suicide.



You Missed




Ok the screencap is a bad example, but even when you have their HP down somewhat low and you lob an ultra ball it MISSES. Its like what the hell man you're a giant legendary THING you're bigger than everyone's mum WHY DOES THIS BALL MISS YOU.
